    SOMOS Winter & Summer Writer Series
    These literary evenings invite writers to read from their recent work, pairing up-and-coming writers with nationally and internationally recognized authors. The eight-week programs take place January/February and July/August of every year.

    Sax Stonecarving Workshop
    Mark Sax workshops were founded with the goal of providing a format for the best instructors in the field to share their knowledge with students. The teacher-student ratio is small; each 7-day workshop is limited to 18 participants.
    Weaving Southwest Classes and Workshops
    This premier outlet for regional tapestry yarns and supplies has been a long-standing tradition in the weaving community in Taos. Lessons focus on contemporary tapestry design and are taught by third-generation owner Teresa Loveless.

    This 300 year old lovingly restored hall and restaurant was once the western façade of the historic San Francisco de Asis Plaza and Church. With banquet seating for up to 170 and a stage for the head table or musicians, plus reception areas

    The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico
    The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation is one of the oldest artist residence programs in the country. The Foundation keeps a low-profile and serves as a haven for painters, poets, sculptors, writers, playwrights, composers, photographers and film.
    Fechin Art Workshops
    Honoring the memory of impressionist Nicolai Fechin, these workshops attract instructors of both national and international reputation. Workshops are limited to 20 students and advance reservations are required.
