Our film roots run deep. Dennis Hopper fell in love with Taos while on location for the production of Easy Rider, and in the late 1960’s, he left Hollywood to make Taos his home. He brought with him a community of actors and artists, and a creative counterculture that settled right in to the unique melting pot that is Taos.

Taos continues to cast its spell on artists and visionaries. The alluring light, stunning landscapes, and rich history make Taos one of the most enchanting small towns in the world.
