Come and learn from our fourth poet laureate, Miguel Santistevan about the history of agricultural practices, acequias and food in Taos County. Miguel’s passion is the conservation of traditional agriculture and the relationship with land, water, and culture. His educational background includes degrees and certificates in Biology, Ecology, and other agricultural related disciplines. He has been farming for 18 years and is currently working several plots of land around Taos in a variety of native crops, irrigating from our local acequia, (communally managed ditch).
