Recycling
As an outpost town, Taos cherishes its protected beauty and natural resources. We’re particularly sensitive about keeping it clean here and being good stewards of the future. We ask visitors and residents alike to be aware of ways in which we can have lower impacts on our environment and reduce landfill dependence. Recycle, reuse and regenerate, please, while you are here.
If your visit falls in the Fall, be sure to inquire about The Annual Taos Glam-Trash Fashion Show, featuring fashions made from discarded materials. (Usually happens in September.) There is also a highly-anticipated art show by local artists featuring works made from recycled materials, Arte de Descartes, sponsored by Wholly Rags.
