A motorcycle trial is a non-speed event ridden on specialized, very lightweight motorcycles, where balance and control are the main skill requirements. Top New Mexico riders will negotiate demanding and technical sections made up of obstacles. The riders defy gravity and are not allowed to put their feet on the ground.

The event is part of a 15-event series sponsored by the New Mexico Trials Association. Admission and parking is free.

The 400+ mile course will take people through paved and off road courses throughout Northern New Mexico – from high alpine mountains to the sage and pinon-covered desert.
People will experience the ancient cultures of the Spanish, Hispanic and Native Americans in the mission churches, Pueblo adobe architecture and historic ruins. This is an AMA sanctioned event. Cost to participate is $118 per rider.

All three will take place in the Taos Ski Valley, the highest elevation for a municipality in the United States.
